I suspect ONVESL dates can be WRONG....
Last week, we heard from 1Gunner, who said that his car would arrive the East Coast of North America 2-3 days after the ONVESL date. SURPRISING!
This week, I think I've found another surprise...
My car was completed June 13, and ONVESL June 21. The name of the boat is the Sagittarius Leader - reaching Jacksonville Florida June 26th (http://68.153.231.26:8181/schedule/schedule.asp) - which would mean 5-6 days to cross the Atlantic. SURPRISING?
Then, my research led me to the BMW board - someone with a 5 series is also on the Sagittarius Leader - and he has credible info that the ship left Bremerhaven 6/15 (http://forums.e60.net/lofiversion/in...p/t12695.html).
So, my ONVESL date was 6 days later than the actual date (21st, when it was actually the 15th).
Regardless, the ship (and my car!) will arrive San Diego July 8 (http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/) via Jacksonville.
For those WAITERS out there, please keep this in mind. I must say, when I ordered my Bimmer last time, their tracking system was FAR superior to Porsche's haphazard system.
As you can tell, I've found another way to keep busy as I wait!

Very surprising! Best thing is, it's at my dealers now and I should have it home tomorrow.
Here's my time line:
Ordered Feb 1
built May 23
ONVESL June 13
arrived in port June 16
arrived at dealer June 24
scheduled to arrive in MY garage June 27
