Default Sirius satelite radio

Does anyone know anything about Satelite radio availability for 06? it is shown as an option on the Cayenne if you get PCM so why not the 997?

I don't see it in the 2006 911 European price list, so it doesn't look like the prospect is good.

Best you can do is buy one of these "fugly" head units that transmit to your existing radio on an unused FM band. Silly isn't it?

I know, stupid, esp. since is available on the Pepper. One thought I had was if the PCM software is the same for each car, maybe the Pep unit could be retroed to the 997? Did anyone see XM listed? I don't remember seeing it either.

Here in Los Angeles, it is very difficult to even find an open frequency to transmit to the radio on. Then when you find one, when you go to a new area, you may get interference from a station in that location.

I can't believe that the 2006 997 doesn't have a SAT radio option...that is so LOW-RENT, especially since the Cayenne has it as an option! Those FUGLY add-on receivers are hideous! C'mon Porsche get with it!
