Do you know the cost of the "TPSM" adder?

'Smart' front passenger airbag that automatically disables when occupied by a child is now standard on '06 997 and 987 cars. The warning light is on the rear center console in both models, next to parking brake. This is a welcomed feature for owners like me who have children.

TPMS *is* available in the US. My 06 car, coming any time now, has that option. It's about $900.

Also, I believe "keyless entry" or something like that (the feature that allows you to enter car without key by the car detecting code in your key fob remotely--somebody corrects me if I am wrong) is now available. I wish I had known about this one when I ordered.

Bigwave - the USA Porsche site has been updated in the last week or so. In the general overview of the 911 they show the bi-color interior in a light gray & dark gray combo, as well as a dark brown & sand beige combo. The car configuration has also been updated and it shows the bi-color interior combination in Terracotta and Black.

thanks gota911. It's a little to late for me now my car is arriving at the deal tomorrow or the next. I went with the natural brown in a black car black top. I can not wait to see it.

It seems like we are getting ripped of in the US. This option is only $670 (540 Euros) in Europe.

Whereas RMS stands for the infamous rear main seal leak, TPMS stands for the total Porsche main seal leak.

Just kidding.

It's Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

Weight-sensing passenger airbag and the NAV disc came with the car. My dealer said both were "new".

Have you seen the Canadian order guide? Talk about a rip off... 20% markup on the 997 and the 997S. I would be buying a new 997 in Canada if the prices were somewhat reflective of currency exchange, but now I'm looking in the US for the car.

In May 2005 - forward build 997's (and of course 2006 models), the slot-loading CD player in the PCM now plays MP3 CD's, which can be recorded directly from iTunes. I can now fit 151 songs on one CD. Playing them in random order is almost like having a direct interface for your iPod!
