997 Gullwing
Yes, Rinspeed has made the 997 into a gullwing. Looking at the pic, I'm not sure how you climb in around those doors! Source: Autoweek
Anyhow, enjoy.

Oh, my God! What kind of evil mind would do something like that to a perfectly good 997? I saw a 1965 Chevy Impala on about 25" wheels....and it had lambo doors. Everybody's doing Lambo doors now. Put a set of big spinner wheels on this. Then it will look at home.
Of course, this is IMO only.

You guys DO know the original reason for gull wings is because the frame of the car is so hefty that the door sills are too high for regular doors, right?
Other than paying fanciful homage to this original necessity, is there any other FUNCTIONAL, engineering reason to have gull wing doors on a car these days?
Just asking. I don't know.

)Anyway, I'm curious why does Lamborghini do that with the doors? It's gotta be structural frame issues, right? Maybe not, perhaps they just do whatever seems radical (God bless them).
Well.......you wouldn't have to worry about hitting your door on the car in the parking place next to you.
That's not reason enough to do Lamo doors. Those new photos make it look even worse. Sorry, I wouldn't drive it to a dog fight. Looks like a ghetto car. 22" spinner wheels..... I'm telling you... that's what it needs to make the package complete! (and maybe lift it about 5")
