Default bose system settings

I am curious to know how you guys have the treble, base, fader, etc. set up in your bose system. I know it makes a difference on the type of music you listen to, but I'd still like to see how others program the system. thanks.

Given the diversity of settings people enjoy, the question perhaps should have been:

"Bose system settings, and what type of music do you enjoy these settings at"

Then maybe the range of answers would make sense.

Cheers!

Is it me or does surround distort and degrade the sound quality.

Bass 5
Treb 3

The Bose on the 997 is one of the better OEM sound systems and well worth the upgrade.

I'm constantly changeing mine depending on the music, much more that I do in other cars. Sometimes the bass from certain songs on certain stations makes me sound like one of those Honda head-thumpers going down the road! Shakes the whole car! All in all its an OK system, but the Harmon Kardon in my wife's car sounds better, and the Nakamichi with ADS speakers in the 964 BLOWS it away! I truly hope someone comes out with something to replace the whole thing, like the new Panasonic system integrated with XM Nav. Plays MP3s, DVDs, XM, Nav, and is a touch screen too!

Bass 0
Treble +2 or +3 dep on music
Loud OFF

Bose is quite bassy but I do like the sound which is one of the best stock system. I think Lexus' Mark Levinson is excellent as well.

Gary R - You're the first to like HK in BMW. Just about everyone else tells me it sucks.

Well, i'm glad you've settled that! I'll say it again to be clear. The HK in our 330Ci sounds SUSTANTIALLY better to me that the Bose in the 997S. It is crisper, the bass is clearer, and generally a cleaner sound. I WISH mine was better, but it just isn't...
