Default Price increase for 06, not so sure?

I've read a few posts about a price increase coming in 06 and it concerns me as I do have an 06 on order. Just comparing the prices of the new C4S to the C2 S, it seems to be $8000 more. That gets you 4 wheel drive, wider tires and wider rear end.

Not sure how they could raise the prices of the C2 much as I believe they do have to be prices somewhat appart don't they?

I read somewhere reliable that the increases would be very modest. Can't remember where; it probably was credible source (WSJ, NYTimes, Business week?).

I spoke with a dealer yesterday, and he said the Porsche hedge funds expired after three years and he expected a price increase in 2006.

Dealer and even manufacturer use rumor and hype to boost sales. I wouldn't worry about it. With Cayman coming out, Porsche has no reason to increase prices materially since so many people will be buying the newest model.

And that was Porsche will keep hedging currency - it's an ongoing strategy to keep costs and revenues stable - so he's using an old trick of combining two pieces of information to scare you into buying now.

Either way you can wait forever and still not buy (prices are never going to come down right?)...or you can dive in now and enjoy.
