is the 997s the best all around sports car ever made??

My S is under 82,000. The only option the car needs are floor mats, but I got the supple leather thinking it would look better longer. Yes, it has got to be the greatest 911 ever and by far the best all around sports car for the money.

I think it is hard to break the $100K barrier with this car unless you are filthy rich or an attention-hungry Rock star. Yeah, alot of nice (toys) options, like wood and carbon and exhaust, but heck it's just a frickin personal indulgence in a car; how much excess money do you want to spend on THAT?

I didn't have sports exhaust (not available) (3K). Didn't get yellow breaks (8K?). Boom 101K. Also are they counting taxes? Mine was 90K w/o taxes. I don't think the breaks or the exhaust are only for the filthy righ or rock stars ;-)....but that is just me and my attention-hungry self *grin*
I wanted to add that even at $79K USD with no options the car is awesome. I am not trying to detract from people who got a "base" car. It is just as fast as mine ;-). The only option on my old C4S was heated seats (I didn't order it..found it on a boat that way).
