Jay, I think we all would like to see pics of your 997 S Atlas Grey Cab. Is your interior grey too? TIA!

The beauty of building your own, is that YOU get to decide if your Carrera is a "lean and mean" sportscar, a GT, or something in between.

In other words it completely up to you! It is your money.

Maryle, that totally sucks! Why did it get rejected? As an alternative, you can retrofit a painted console. That's what I'm thinking of doing.

Tex, I don't know why the leather console was rejected other than my sales rep told me that all special consoles (leather, wood, fiber, paint etc.) were temporarily unavailable. I was actually torn between leather and painted when I ordered the car, so It won't anguish over it . And, as far as retrofit projects go, I think console replacement is one of the easier ones. I remember an earlier thread here from a guy who ordered a painted consloe from Bumperplugs and was looking for DIY instructions. I'll try to find it. Maryle

my center console in leather was also rejected. it is or wil be available as a part. you can order it from your dealer, or from Carnewal. the price I was quoted from carnewal was a lot less than it was as an option from porsche...and you get to keep the original console.you can have one in leather and get the other painted and change them as you wish <g>

Here are a few pics of my interior full black leather, with supple leather seats. The supple leather is extremely comfortable. Everyone loves the feel of it.

Jay, It seems as though every time I see an option I didn't get, that I wish I had it. In this case it's the supple leather seats. The inst. cluster really stands out. Gota love it!!!!

I would definitely opt for full leather. Not that the vinyl is bad, it just truly fits the car's stature and is stunningly beautiful. If we were talking GT3s, I'd skip it...
