You americans shouldn't get so worried. Traditionally we pay a similar figure / number to what you pay, except we have the privilege of paying in GB£ and not US$.
For example, respective list prices for a base spec 997 C2S are $79,100 (equates to £41,377) and £65,000 (equates to $124,260). For the base 997, the US prices is $69,300 which at £36,250 works out cheaper than a Boxster S (£37,923) over here.
I would imagine prices to rise similar to those seen with the 996 upgrade to 997 - so probably a 997 GT3 around the $100k / £75k mark.

The UK, an important but RHD market, always pays an rediculous premium for cars with the wheel on the 'wrong' side.
Much better to work of the german domestic price in euros.
If you must work off the Uk price, then divide it by 1.175 before applying the exchange rate, the quoted price includes 17.5% Value Added Tax, which does not apply in the US.
For German prices, divide by 1.16 before converting to dollars.

I was at my Porsche dealer a couple of months ago spec'ing my new Boxster, ever since then I haven't been able to stop myself from wanting to go back and ordering a GT3, there was a 996 GT3 sitting next to the Boxster in the showroom in Arctic Silver, roll on the 997 GT3 I can feel another deposit coming on.
Not too keen on the bonnet air intake but I'm sure it'll look better in the flesh.
Found some more pictures on the net of the GT3 out testing, think I've found my next car.

Hmm, who made the decision to take out a test GT3 in the ice? It's good to see that Porsche is serious about testing their cars in all conditions. I wonder how many GT3s will see roads like that...
