JF, SWEEEET!!! Midnight Blue is my favorite color on a P-car, PERIOD! Is that the Sand Beige interior? If so, it is the PERFECT combo with the Midnight Blue.
Four weeks ago I got my first P-car. Had to "settle" for a '04 996 Lapis Blue over Grey. I like it a lot.

very nice color combo... I dislike dark colored interiors... makes the cockpit feel "small"... I actually saw a midnight blue up close in person... very sharp.
Another color I really like is ATLAS - also a good combo with the sand interior.

It is indeed sand beige.....I'm really glad they changed from savannah beige (a little too mustard) The sand color makes the interior feel very luxurious....It's full leather as well...If I could order again, I'd also do the center console in leather...just to finish it off

My midnight blue has the grey interior. I really didn't shop around or think very hard about Porsche or color. My lease was up and I needed a new car. I drove the 997 in midnight blue for less than 3 or 4 miles and decided to buy it on the spot. Over the years I never really considered Porsche, but the one drive did it. Two months later, I have 7K miles (I get 15K for the year!) and I can't get enough of it.

If you are interested in the leather console, then check out the 996 forum. There is a thread titled "rear center console in leather" which lists a couple of links for two places to get the console in leather.
