Default XCZ - Sport Shifter

I have the XCZ - Sport Shifter option on my 997 S.
Can someone tell me exactly what this shifter option entails?
Is it just a shorter shifter?
I drove a 997 without this option and I couldnt tell the difference between my shifter and the shifter in the car without it. The shifter **** seemed to be the same height in both cars and I couldnt tell any difference in the way the two shifters operated.

The throws are defintely shorter and with much greater effort required to "row". But it feels sporty to me. I love it.

Have you tried the OEM sport shifter to compare to the B&M?

I had a B&M short shifter on my 996 & really liked it in comparison to stock... though stock on the 997 seems far better than stock was on the 996.

Did you install the B&M shifter yourself? If so how were the instructions & how easily did the install go?

Thanks, in advance for the reply!
