Other than the fact that you gain AWD and the turbo look, I couldn't detect any upsides. To me, the 997S is a superior car and a better value, even against a used 996TT.

It's all about a progressive NA response or a sudden, kick in the pants, rocket experience. I prefer NA.

I agnozed over this myself. The 996 TT was just a bit soft and I like rear drive, naturally aspirated P cars. I went with the GT3 and I am stoked. You can get into one for low 90's. I read all the posts so far, and I must say the bias towards teh 997's based on looks felt a bit metrosexual considering we are a bit on the high testosterone anyway with thes cars. Ultimately, I love them all. If all I had the bucks for was a 914-6 I would still die a happy man. I prefer the GT3, but the X50 pack is awesome! Good luck!!
