Default 3M Expel

SInce the dealer had to keep my car while waitng for the NAV parts I decided to have the clear bra installed. They are using a product know as 3M Expel. They are going to cover the bumper, the leading edge of the hood, around the lights and the mirrors for $595 but I get a 20% discount to $476 since I bought the car from them. From what I have seen posted this seems like adequate protection at a good price.

I haven't seen any cars with the bra. What's it like? Is it obvious or take away from the looks? Price seems cheaper and smarter than painting every year.

George,

Hi from 993 land. Noticed your Xpel post. I had the same areas covered on my 993 last year. My car has the TT bumper, not unlike the shape and complexity of the 997's. The Xpel patterns and 'film' are first rate and that is a very good price. If the shop is experienced and does a good job you will be very satisfied. On a SY car it will be hardly noticeable. Easier to see on a dark color, but still well worth it.

Mike Cap's right. As long as it is installed correctly, it's nearly invisible.......even on black....

jcf7 - paint protection film (aka "clear bra") is made of a clear urethane material that is designed to coverage the major frontal impact area from rock chips (e.g. hood bonnet, fender caps, mirrors, & fr bumper). Amount of coverage depends on the kit design of the software and clarity depends on the film manufacturer. If you need more info, please feel free to email us at sales@premiermobilegroup.com

I've got it and you will love it! If installed correctly you won't see it until you are real close.
