Of all the cars I have owned the one that will always remain closest to my heart is my first sports car in 1970 - a 1968 Jaguar XKE 4.2L 2+2 with 4-speed manual transmission, 72-spoke chrome wire wheels, no A/C. It was 18 months old when I bought it from a Jaguar dealer for $3,400. Its original price when new was $6,600. Talk about dereciation! A bear to keep tuned, but fun to drive. It was my daily driver, except for icy or snowy days.
Other sports cars I have owned include a 1973 MGB (new) [I could only stand this car for 10 months], a 1973 Jaguar XKE V-12 2+2 (used), a 1976 Datsun 280Z (new), 1979 Alfa-Romeo 2000 Spider (used).
Other vehicles I have owned are a 1946 Oldsmobile 2-door sedan, a 1940 Ford 2-door sedan with flathead V-8, a 1954 Mercury 2-door coupe, a 1953 Ford 2-door sedan, 1959 Chevrolet 2-door sedan, 1964 Chevrolet 4-door sedan, a 1961 Mercedes 220SEb sedan with 4-speed column shift transmission, a 1972 Audi 100LS (new) [a pretty cheesy car], a 1974 Jaguar XJ6-L sedan (new), a 1975 Volvo 242 sedan, a 1976 Volvo 264 sedan (new), 1979 VW Rabbit Diesel (new), a 1988 Form Mustang convertible (new), a 1989 Acura Integra (new), a 1995 Ford Explorer (new), a 2000 VW Passat Wagon (new), a 2003 Mercedes E500 (new), a second 2003 Mercedes E500 (new) [long story here], a 2004 Lexus LS430 (new).
Also have owned a 1980 Yamaha 650 Vertical Twin M/C, a 1982 Suzuki GS650 Shaft Drive M/C and a 1984 BMW 650 Twin Shaft Drive M/C.
