Default Opinions: Which tire is better on 997S ?

Hi All,
I noticed that earlier production cars come with Michelin's PS2's and the lastest cars are coming with Pirelli Pzero Rosso.
Which is a better tire?

I had the Pzero Rosso's on my Boxster S. My only complaint was that they didn't last at all. Think I changed them out after 8500 miles. With that siad I am not sure what I will get out of the PS2's yet.

There is no significant difference between the two.

The TireRack website is showing Continental ContiSport Contact 2 tires in an appropriate size to fit the 997 19's. They also show the Michelin's but not the Pirelli's. I wouldn't be surprised if the 997's start coming through with the Continentals as well.

BTW, I got 10K miles from my Pirelli Pzero Rosso rears on my '02 996 Cab.

Jus@s - I've always been lucky to get 4000/5000 miles out of a set of rears!!

Always been a Pirelli manin the past - but very impressed by the Michelin's that came on my new 997S.

Wow! After my experince with my Prossos I moved over to a Bridgestone Potenza. Tire was great got about 16-18K out of it and held just fine.

Our October-build 997 has the Continentals. They feel rock-hard and are very noisy compared to what I remember from my original test drive in a car with PS2s.

The Continentals stick great in both the wet and dry, however...and are VERY impressive in deep rain.

On my production order for my recently sold '02 996 Cab, I tried to specify particular tires. No way you get what you get per PCNA. So I didn't try on my current order arriving next week, maybe.
