Carrera S emblem color

By the way, silverrules, my first new Porsche in 1988, a 951 TurboS was Guards Red. Amazingly, that car, a 951 Turbo S, MSRP'd for $49K then. The 1988 Carrera sold then for $53K. Makes current Porsches look like a tremendous value in today's dollars, given the improvements in technology.
I think that the 997 looks particularly good in GR, and once it's clear whether my chosen model (the Targa) is going to happen as a 997, my choice to upgrade the 996T will be Guards Red or Cobalt. No gold package, of course.

Wow $53K to $69K is not much in 17 yr's. I was going with Midnight blue and last minute change to guards red. 997 looks nice in guards red. Couple weeks ago I parked next to a cobalt blue 997S. The color was so much better than you see in picture. I agree Cobalt should be on top of the list as well. Have fund with the TT for now and dont go too fast.
