First U.S. 997 Race Cars at Daytona this weekend??
Last night I was looking over the entry list for the 2005 Grand Am Cup series and noticed that G&W Motorsports (Now called Synergy Racing) has entered two 997 cars in the Cup series. The Cup series is the supporting races for the Rolex races (not to be confused with Porsche Cup).
Grand Am Rolex = Daytona Prototypes and GT full blown race cars.
Grand Am Cup = Showroom production cars with minimum modifications for racing.
Anyway, hopefully the 997 street/race cars will be at Daytona this weekend for testing. I will be there and take a bunch of pictures and report back next week.
