I'm happy to report I placed my order today for a 997S cabriolet with Beechmont Porsche. April build with the following options:

Arctic Silver
Metropol Blue Top
Sea Blue interior
Adaptive Sport Seats
Bose Sound Package
Multiple Function Steering Wheel
Self Dimming Mirrors
Colored Wheel Crests
Floor Mats

I also wanted to thank FL997, Stef Scheepers and Alan Smithee (any movies coming out this summer?) for their input on some of the options I was considering. They were a big help.

 

i fully understand why you went that far away from where you live (NYC).

 

Did you think about getting the sport exhaust?

 

Did you consider Sport Chrono pkg?

BTW, Sport exhaust is not yet available. Does anyone know why Porsche stopped offering PSE?

 

I was told that the exhaust will be available in Feb 05 as tequipment.

 

April build, wait for an 06 you'll be $ ahead!

 

I did, very briefly; but I don't plan to track the car and virtually all of my driving is on the highway from Manhattan to Long Island and so I really don't think I'll get to take advantage of what the Sport Chrono Package has to offer (and I hate that chronometer on the dash). But I have 10 days to change my order and I'm willing to listen to any other opinions of people who have it.

 

You may want to order the sports package. I was told it would give good resale value. i ordered it with my car that has an April build date as well. White 05' cabriolet, sports chrono package, black leather seats, fully adjustable, bose package, nav system, S- version, self dimming mirrors, floor mats, and painted wheel crests. Good luck on your order. It's tough to wait, but worth it.

Thanks for the pic. I assume it's from the Detroit Auto Show. Exterior looks like Arctic Silver, which is the color I've ordered.

 

Sea blue interior will look much better

 

Think it is GT silver ... I think it would look better with black interior ..

 

Did they paint the wheels? They don't look standard.
