There is one other possibility. Porsche is also coming out with the Boxster coupe. I have a good source that tells me the coupe is running around. I would put money on the fact it's just a well camouflaged Boxster coupe prototype.

I have no idea why people keep comparing the 997 to the 993; the resemblence is minimal. What it really looks like is a 996TT with a huge spoiler.
I don't like the side-intakes in those photos but I like the idea of Porsche returning to the "whale-tail" spoiler, if they do it right I think it'll look fantastic on the 997, the wing looks a little to huge in those photos though.
