Hey doublenutz, who was talking to you? Just wondering. Maybe there is a deleted post that addressed you?

There is no official word on wether or not they will or won't, so no one really can answer your question, without pure speculation. On that note, i would speculate that at some point, there will be an awd version, but it could be 1.5-2 years away.

Thanks, Viken, for the post. I think the 997 cab is beautiful, even though a convertible is not too practical in my relatively rainy state with winter almost half the year. To live in So Cal...

Guys,

What is wrong with Mike asking someone with $650,000 of performance cars in his stable, almost 100 posts, and a presence on this board for 3 years to contribute a measly $18 to John and Jen to say thank you for enriching his Porsche experience?

I just don't get the attitude around here in recent months. We are all blessed to own Porsches. We are all blessed to have increased our circle of friends all over the world via John and Jen's efforts. How about giving back and supporting the neighborhood in which you "live"?

Please accept my humble opinion in the spirit it is offered - I am certainly tired of all the flaming around here lately.

Soon to be member Nick.

I want to finish the process of covering your membership dues for you, since you can't afford them yourself. I'm more than happy to do it in the spirit of the season.

Please PM me your name and address for your membership application. I'm sure John and Jenn will be glad to have you as a member.

Also, since $18 is more than you can afford, maybe it would be a good idea for you to sell one of your cars. Whichever one would garner the most money. May help you make ends meet.

(Also, it might not be a bad idea to move out of La Jolla. I think you're in over your head)

Happy Holidays.

Thanks Doc

I don't understand it.

We get so much out of Rennlist. I don't understand why regular users are reluctant to help defray the cost of its operation.

DoubleNutz.

The last three iterations have all had C4 and C4S versions. And PAG tends to rarely change its playbook.

i agree, i expect the 997 to have as many varations as the 996, if not more,

people said the targa wouldnt make it to the 997 platform, but there are mules
for it running around germany.

the other versions, which sold much better than the targa, have no reason not to be made.

In case anyone was wondering, thought I'd do a quick side-by-side for ya.

Better, or is it a case of "the more things change, the more they stay the same"?

Bob...I think the true difference will be apparent from being behind the wheel...some subtle, some very obvious. Various model lines from most manufactures (Ex. BMW 325i vs. M3 series etc..) share cosmetic similarities....so why point them out? AK

There are similarities but it is in the 997 features and not so much the cab option . Looking at the both cars from the back I think there are far less similarities .

I am pointing out nothing. I simply put them together and posed a question. The two together used to be create controversy. Wondering what opinion is now. Personally, I like the looks of the new Boxster, but after my driving a 997S on the track, I will hold out for the new 911. Just biding my time.

Yes...this tactic grew old in the Cayenne S vs Cayenne Turbo vs Toureg arguments of 2003....AK

Yes, all that trivial backbiting can get old, can't it?
