Default Short shifter

I'd really welcome any views on the Porsche short shifter. The publicity talks about significant additional effort required to shift when cold. Has anyone got any experience on this?

Thanks.

Default How about on a 996?

Thanks Cooz.

I guess its too early to get any feedback.

But does anyone know if its the same short shifter supplied for the 996 and if there were any significant hardship when using cold?
