Now those are some serious wheels! When I get me 997S, the first thing to go are those wacky rims...

Looks awesome? I assume you do not have PASM?

this is an ad from TechArt , I am just not crazy about the factory wheels and I have not seen too many people who have a problem with them but I do . I will wait for the cab then lowering the car and getting wheels other than factory this time seem to be in order if porsche does not offer any different wheels . Also in a large width .... 315 like the picture , this also makes this combo look nice .

They do offer different wheels. The Sport Design and Carrera Classic wheels are offered in 19" for the S. I'd go with the Classic wheels for the $390 extra bucks.

Here's a quick photo edit:

I don't have a good shot of my car that matches the large shot from the TechArt site, so I had to make do with one of the smaller ones. The lighting angles aren't the same, but the polished lip looks a bit too prominent in the picture for me, almost like a whitewall tire. I'd probably dispense with the polished lip and go for the all-black look, which would be quite sinister. I'm not a big fan of the TechArt wheels, but I do like darker-colored wheel centers:

This might be a bit too low for some, but it gets the point across:

think of the damage that you will incur trying to go up ramps and driveways ((shudder))

i'm not a fan of those wheels either, i would take the 19'' carrera classics,

can't wait to see the 997 generation turbo twists.

There are wheel options anyway. If you use the car configratoron the porsche website you can see what the car will look like with the optional wheels.
