I'd look closely at the "natural leathers" - very nice and not a whole lot more $$. Either the "dark grey" or the "natural brown" should look great with guards red. Not so sure about seal grey with blue - if you want a grey, I'd take a close look at Atlas Grey (much darker and has some blue in it), dark blue interior would probably look great with Atlas. Of course, its all personal preference.

We've sold a few cars in Seal Grey with the old Metropol Blue and it looked really nice. Red with any interior is great. I think red just makes any car look amazing.
Personal, if I had to use standard colours and was ordering right now, I'd go with GT Silver and Cocoa Brown. I love that combo.

Atlas Grey Metallic with Natural Grey Leather. But, seeing you live in the desert, DE's suggestion of GT Silver with Cocoa Brown would be cooler. I'd stay away from red if you plan on speeding. It catches the police's eye.

I like the way that beige interiors look on new Porsches, but most of the cars that are 4 or more years old don't look so good, and cars that are 8 or more years old often look terrible. The leather, vinyl, and plastic don't seem to fade at the same rates, and the resulting mish-mash of shades looks worse in beige than in most colors. I'd only get beige again if a) it was full leather and b) if the car was never going to be exposed to much sunlight.
I'd go with the dark gray or black for the interior. Of the exterior colors I like the Cobalt Blue the best. Guards Red and Speed Yellow are great colors, but they are truly ticket-magnets, and it's bad enough being in a Porsche without the extra attention. I love white, and I bought a black 997, so I clearly would recommend either of those. My own personal "never haves" are any of the silvers, not because they look bad, but because there are always so many of them!
In the end, get what you want, not what anyone else suggests. You will know the color combos that you really like when you see them, so try to do so as the order guides, web configurators, and so on just don't really do the trick.

Go with 'Triple Black', the old turbo combination - it looks the best. Just IMHO.

Speed yellow is a ticket magnet, most definitely. V1 and Lidatek help though. Speed Yellow is polarizing though, with a huge number of people giving unsolicited compliments, and a few who say that yellow is a perfectly good way to ruin a porsche.
For my 997S, it'll most likely be speed yellow, unless I chicken out and get black.
BTW, what's triple black, as opposed to black interior and exterior? Any special significance?

what is triple black?
BTW- someone asked what 'Triple Black' stands for - it includes the exterior, interior and the headliner colors. At least that was Uncle Bart told us back on the old Porschephiles list (circa 1993).

Lately people have also been using "triple black" to refer to 911 cabs and Boxsters, which have tops that can be different colors.
Has anyone seen the painted wheels yet? I noticed the option on the configurator, but didn't try it to see if there were any pictures. Are they fully painted, or is the lip a different color?
