Hi. Since the 997 has the wide body already, is anyone gonna get the 2005 C4S?

 

I think the C4S is wider than a 997. Personally, I would think all 996 sales would substantially slow down for the 2005 996 remaining models, and I imagine PAG will be racing to fill out the 997 line. If you don't want to wait and are considering a C4S, I would think seriously considering a low milage 03 C4S might make sense, driving that for a year or two and then possibly getting a 997 C4S.

 

i don't think the c4s is wider than the c2s. i know on the 993 "S" models the C2s just had the turbo body, while the C4s has the turbo body, turbo brakes, and turbo suspension.

 

The 997 is about two inches wider than the 996 C2, and the 996 C4S and Turbo is about an inch wider than the 997.

 

I think I misread what he was saying I thought he was saying the 997 C4s will be wider than the 997 C2s.

 

The turbo and 4S 997s wont be built for about 2 years. The carrera and carrera S are realeased first. Then maybe a cab and Targa. Then the turbo and 4S in about 2 yrs. The carrera body is obviously same narrow body as regular carreras. The 997 wide body will be as different as present turbo body.
