TD in DC : - [. The only reason why I sold my Boxster S and bought a 911 was due to the fact that I had a 1 year old daughter and twin boys on the way, so I gave into pressure from my wife to ditch the two-seater. .[/QUOTE]
How you gonna get them all in ????
I have my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter in my 996 most of the time - but I don't know where a third would go !!!

Adrian,
Three spare seats + three Porsche car seats (front one with airbag deactivation) = The sportiest schoolbus on the road! Seriously though, my wife's point was that if she and my daughter were out somewhere and I were alone with the twins, I would not be able to use the Boxster S to take the twins to the hospital in the event of an emergency. After much discussion, I reluctantly admitted that she had a point, so I used the reasoning for which men are famous: OK honey, I have no choice but to get a 911.
I have yet to take the twins in the Targa (they are still only 3 1/2 months old), but my 21 month old daughter loves it. She squeels with delight when the wind hits her face and waves at all the pedestrians when we go through town. It is pretty funny . . .

The cars are family, so they have to look similar. But I don't see them looking too much alike. The new 911 has a longer nose, where the Boxster has maintained more of a "stubby" look. The 911 headlights are oval where the Boxster's are a bit tri-oval. And somehow they look wider apart than on the 911 (could be perception). I guess my point is there are far more differences between these iterations of Boxster and 911 than there were between the 986 and 996. You can't go TOO far or they won't look like the same family of car. I think it works well for both of them.

Well I certainly can see the difference. Maybe you need new glasses
Most cars of the same mark tend to share some looks. Mazda's, nissans.. or whatever. It would be weird if they didn't look somewhat similar.

BobbyB! Good to hear from you and hope all is well. With respect to the mods, you have no idea . . . I am too ashamed to post them all here, but I think I am done for awhile. Hope to see you soon.
