Default Photos (Black/Black Carrera S)

The last Pcar I drove was a '03 Seal Gray C4S, and I have to say that the new 997 Carrera S is an improvement in every way, which certainly makes me wonder what the 997 C4S will be like. https://rennlist.com/forums/newthrea...wthread&f=113#

Other owners have already posted 997/996 comparisons so I don't feel like I need to do it (not yet, at least), but I think I will have more to say after a week or two of driving.

Here are some photos though, as promised:

God almity-just love how new p-cars look so darn clean. Wish my cars stay like that. Congrats. Black seems to be a popular color on the 997. Regards. Mike

hopefully someone will buy one in white and post pics. I can't deal with black on any car again, too hard to keep clean, shows every nick and scratch.

They are hard to keep clean. That's why I wanted to take photos right away.

a quick product plug - that Eagle One Wax As You Dry product. I've used other types of these "quik wax" products, they all stink. But this stuff actually works, mist it on a wet car after washing, and then when you dry with a chamois or microfiber cloth - the water just sheets right off. Best $6 I ever spent, those damn water spots on a black car are killers.

Congratulations! Looks like one of the "launch" cars and an identical twin to mine. How did you get your NAV disk so fast? Enjoy!

It is one of the launch cars.

I got the nav disc from my salesman who was able to located one somewhere in the country. He just had it overnighted to the dealership. Have you heard when you're supposed to get your disc? I really like PCM and the navigation system, despite some of the things that people have said about it. Once you get to the way it is set up, it's pretty easy to use, although it can be a distraction. I try to set the nav settings before I drive off.
