Default Boxter gets 997 headlights

Bizare but true...
After 911 owners demanded a different headlight treatment distinguishing the 911 from the Boxter, the dimwits at Porsche give the new Boxter the same front end treatment as the 997.

Actually looks more like the GT front end than the 997. If that really is how the boxster will look I like it a lot.

The change in lights is the best decision ever made, recently. The 996 lights suck, everyone knows they did, they changed the shape or perception of the 911 shape too much.

They are not the same ... looks like the boxster keep a more of teardrop shape than the 911...i like them. As a future 997 driver i dont mind.....at least they took the 911 lights and put them on the boxster rather than the other way around. The 997 looks great in person.

Those look nothing like the 997 lights. The 997 lights are much rounder and upright.

With all the crap you have on your car, I wouldn't think you'd be able to tell what the shape of the headlights are.

Personally, I do not like the 997 lights. I actually prefer the original 996 lights. And as for these Boxster pics, I LOVE those lights. I can't wait to see what they actually deliver for the Boxster Coupe.

Stevo, just so you know - you can hit the edit button and correct a post rather than adding a new post.
