Default 997 cab wind deflector - how does it fold???

I picked up my car and it has the deflector. i know how to take it out, but folding it is a different matter. Owners manual just says to fold it, but it feels like its going to break and they are pricey to replace.

TIA.

It will break right where the metal corner bracket meets the plastic. Mine is snapped on both sides on the bottom panel. When folding I try to support the bracket to take the stress off the plastic.

I had the same experience when removing mine the first time.

Took it to a dealer service drive up, a mechanic came out and just briskly folded it.

Applying steady pressure wouldn’t unlatch it- and I feared cracking the hinge or shaft.

He sure made it look easy after examining it.

Better he broke it than me- but no charge and now it’s a non-issue.

Yes, the first time you do it is pretty nerve wracking. Check to see if there is a YouTube video on it.
Wow! $900 ?? Glad mine is in good working order!
