Default 180 amp alternator

Hi all 997 gurus, am interested if any one has up graded their alternator with the 180 amp unit? If so would the associated wiring need to be beefed up to carry the increased current?

To expand on this a little, if you plan to increase the constant load above what the factory has installed then you may need to increase conductor sizes.
