LN Engineering 4.0L Engine Rebuild
You took the engine apart and sent the short blocks to LNE? The car was in the garage for 2 years? That's my issue, I can't take the engine apart at home and there's no way the car can stay in the shop waiting weeks/months for the engine to come back.
I'm assuming this is a 997.1 3.8, and it still has the dual mass flywheel with this clutch disc?
It does not look like any of the unsprung discs available for the 997. Any part numbers on the disc, pressure plate, or flywheel? Can you add a pic of the pressure plate and flywheel?

The flywheel and pressure plate were OEM as far as I'm aware.
As for how long this thing was in the shop... The first shop I had fixing it imploded mid project, so I sent it back to the original shop that did the first rebuild. They led me along for over a year before admitting they couldn't assemble it since their Porsche tech had left and they couldn't get find a replacement. Finally I shipped it to Slakker to do the final assembly. So general process of this Frankenstein build was disassemble at first shop > parts ordered at second shop > block conditioning done by LN sent via second shop > shipped to Slakker for final assembly. So 4 companies total have technically touched on this rebuild. As I've said, this is an incredibly unlucky car. If I had known about Slakker when this process started I would have gone with them from the start.

Good luck with your 997.
yes, it was 2008 3.8 C4S. The clutch was most assuredly non oem. The pressure plate does indeed look like what I had so probably oem. The flywheel was also oem. I have since gone back to an oem clutch.
