Has anyone bought from www.augmentwheels.com ? I see a set that I'm in love with, but they literally don't answer email/calls - on IG they might respond with one word. If I ask them how much the wheels weight, definitely no response. Are they legit?
They are legit and the wheels are well-made. Dan (owner) is not the best at being responsive. I bought a set a couple years ago and it was a process to get my questions answered and the wheels built. They are built to order. He is much better once you place a deposit for a set but until then, it's hit or miss. Probably the biggest complaint is customer service, but I think he is mostly a one-man operation. Not an excuse, just a fact. If you get a set, I recommend going for the forged magnesium wheels. I regret not doing that with the set I ordered. They are on the map now so he is likely super busy with orders.

I reached out to them this spring. They seem like a solid operation. As far as I know their wheels are made overseas like lots of other small lower cost forged wheel companies which is fine. I ultimately ended up going with VT Forged.
I ordered a set of their performance wheels last November. No issues.
You happen to weight the wheels? I’m looking at a set of 19s. Dan responds to if it’s in stock but won’t respond to the weight. I can't tell if these are actually lightweight, forged etc.

Although I had planned to, I did not and relied on the weights listed in the website. The fact that they were lighter was the very first thing my installer mentioned when I picked them up. They replaced 19" Turbo wheels.

I’m planning on a 2 piece AWC wheel, but forged aluminum. I’m concerned with wheel integrity with a 2 piece forged magnesium wheel set over time, but more so the mental stress I’ll have being afraid of damaging them and repairs costing a fortune. Also, is it really worth almost double the cost for mags if I don’t plan to reduce weight in other parts of the car? Maybe eventually upgrade to antigravity battery, but that’s it. No stripping interior or carbon fiber fenders, etc.
With that being said, I’ve had my heart on a certain design and put down a deposit yesterday. Waiting to hear back and hash out all the details regarding wheel specs. Not many of my questions have been answered. I’m left on read atm.
In the meantime, anyone have any recommendations for flushed look for narrow body? Looking for no poking, no rubbing, and completely in line flushed with the fenders. No crazy camber, probably go with gt3 alignment. Dan (or whoever responded to my IG dm) recommended 19x8.5 et45, 19x11 et50 rear. I’m thinking 19x9 et55 and 19x11 et50. Still trying to gather evidence and see what’s the best flushed fitment for AWC wheels.
