996 TT is one of the best cars in the world. I'd rather choose that one.

I think the 996 TT is the best choice out of the two cars.........The dust will settle on the 997 , and then the question will be why didnt you buy the turbo!

i find it funny that the round headlights make the 997 more like the 993 than the 996. How about how the car drives? How about pumpin' water instead of air cooled? Compare the interiors? Small details, huh?

Anyway...go with the 996TT. Best P-car you can buy, IMHO...

the current Excellence magazine has lap times on the Nurburgring:

996TT - 7 minutes 56 seconds
996 GT3 - 7 minutes 54 seconds
997S - 7 minutes 59 seconds (21 seconds faster then the basic 996 coupe)
