A/C woes .... again.... SHeesh - advice needed.

Just don't overcharge it. It won't help and will cause more problems. 30 psig is 32°f, perfect. I think. I say that because I believe we have modulating compressors. It will run faster or slower to maintain the desired suction pressure. The old way of doing it was a clutch that was on or off. Then cycled off of a LPCO, low pressure cut out. Ours should have a LPCO and yours was likely cycling on it due to low charge.
See how it runs when it gets warmer. If it cools well then leave it. If a bit warm, add more refrigerant, sparingly. Don't overcharge it.

BTW, why does anyone in Wisconsin need A/C? I did some project work up there... flew in/out of Appleton in the dead of winter.... cripes... I learned that fresh cheese curds squeak when you chew 'em... and that you can take rivers and creeks as short cuts in your car to avoid driving farther to bridges... and those tears in back of your bib overalls is from sitting on buckets out on the lake as you spear the sturgeon... on and on....
