Default Checking Wheel Offset & Width Math

Aloha everyone. I really like the 19" Carrera VI wheels that were standard on the base 991.2 C2 and C4. I was thinking of putting those on my 997.1 C2S. I have searched the forums and believe I have an understanding of offsets and wheel width affect the position of the wheel face relative to the fender. That said, it would make me a lot more comfortable if I checked my math here!

Here are the widths and offsets for the 19" Carrera VI wheel (both C2 and C4) and the 19" Carrera S lobster forks that came standard with the 997.1 C2S.

Carrera VI Wheel (Narrow Body 991.2 C2 Base Wheel)
Front: 8.5" Wide & ET50 Offset
Rear: 11" Wide & ET77 Offset

Carrera VI Wheel (Wide Body 991.2 C4 Base Wheel)
Front: 8.5" Wide & ET50 Offset
Rear: 11" Wide & ET56 Offset

Carrera S Wheel (997.1 Lobsters)
Front: 8.0" Wide & ET57 Offset
Rear: 11" Wide & ET67 Offset

Given the above, my conclusions are that the Carrera VI wheel would compare to the Lobsters as follows:

FRONT: Carrera VI wheel would be pushed out by approximately 13mm relative to the Lobsters. Math = 57mm - 50mm + (0.5" x 1/2 x 25.4) = +13.35mm

REAR:
- Narrow Body C2 Carrera VI wheel would be sucked in by approximately 10 mm relative to the Lobsters. Math = 67mm - 77mm = -10mm
- Wide Body C4 Carrera VI wheel would be pushed out by approximately 11mm relative to the Lobsters. Math = 67 - 56 = +11mm

Do I have this correct? And if so, does anyone think the fronts are pushed out too far, and thus, probably not a good fit for a 997?

Thanks in advance!

The fronts will fit. Mine are 19x8.5 ET50, but have 5mm spacers so ET45. They fit perfectly flush. What suspension do you have?

Your math looks to be correct. I'm not familiar with what people run on their C2 rears so your safest bet would probably be to get the NB rears and add spacers.

Thanks! Stock suspension for now, but will be switching that out soon. Still undecided between the B16 or something like a techart springs + B6 shocks. I going back to the original question, I was thinking that the fronts might be close to flush once the suspension is in and the car is lowered, but it may look a little outside of the fender before that.

Any additional thoughts?

All the wheels you mentioned will fit a 997.1 narrow Body with ease.

Currently on my NB I am running the following wheels:

19x8.5 Front 50MM ET
19x11 Rear 53MM ET

Use this calculator to check your work. Has options for wheel spacers too (and camber)
