I have been researching for a few days for an additional set of wheels so I can put all season tires on my 997.2 S. Finally form some nice lobster forks and they are on the way. Now it’s tire time. I don’t need winter tires as such, I’m in South Louisiana and even though we had 8” snow yesterday, that ‘s a once every few years thing and it’s mostly gone by this afternoon. I would never have taken my car out when this was coming, but it does get down to freezing for several days and I’m not supposed to drive these tires under 40F. I have some questions I hope y’all can help with.

My tire size is 235 35 19 and 305 30 19. I have found the largest rear all season tires are either 285 35 19 or 285 30 19. A couple of brands are 275 35 19 as their largest. Do you have an opinion on which size to select ??

on my last MB which was a staggered sport model, I had continental extreme contact tires which were very good. I see the Michelin PS 4 AS as well. Pirelli has a PZero AS plus 3. I have used falken, kumho, and hankook on other vehicles and has decent experience. As soon as I know the South is finished with freezing temps I’ll be back to my summer Michelins. I also see other ‘major’ brands like Yokohama have AS tires in these ranges. By the way I’m only looking at performance tires as such.

if you are running (or have run) all season tires please chime in.

I’m having withdrawals … driving the Sequoia when it snows and the roads are icy is one thing. Just because it’s cold … no. LOL

thanks in advance

Roger

That's crazy y'all got that much snow in Louisiana! We got about 8" of snow over 2 weeks ago here in St. Louis and it still hasn't all melted yet.

I’m currently happy with the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S

Fronts are 235 /35 R19

Rears are 295 /30 R19

Found them at DiscountTireDirect about a year ago.

I have an 11 turbo S running 245/325 spec Michelin A/S and they work great up 3 inches of snow and are excellent in rain
but they are runflats and ride very stiff I haven’t played with air pressure but they have been stable up to 160mph
