I have a Launch Pros Mini, a licensed Chinese version of the US Launch software. It works on all makes that I touch so it is my universal scanner and it does 90% of what the factory tool can do. On Porsche, I also own a Durametric Pro that I frankly almost never use. I got turned off from them when they refused to admit that their O2 sensor voltage functions are all messed up. I now find it very rare that I pull out the Durametric ...
I have the Foxwell NT530. I ... With it, I have changed some coding (headlight / DRL functionality because prior to my ownership, the PCCM was removed and discarded in favor of an aftermarket screen).
That's valuable information to me, I also bought a 997(.1) with a pre-removed PCCM. Headlights and DRL were left on being permanently on before removal of the PCCM, which is not to my likings. Thanks!
Can you get over-rev info from the Foxwell unit or is Durametric the only game in town for getting to that info on your own?
And has anyone tried a phone app? There are lots of free OBDII scanner apps that have upgrades to allow additional functions. I'm wondering if there's one out there that will at least reset the service reminder.
Foxwell has a model called the 510 elite. It’s around the same price as the 530. Wondering if anyone knew the differences. I was trying to sort it out on their site and wasn’t 100% clear on the differences. Although I do think the 510 has OTA updates vs needing a PC to update the 530. I think.
