Default AOS Manometer in LA/OC

I was watching a video and Jake Raby showed a device that plugs in to your oil filler tube that can check the health of your AOS. Does anybody have this tool around LA or Orange county so i can test my 997.1 ? there doesn't seem to be any reason to buy it just for one use.

Thanks!!!

Take a look at this thread. It has pics of an inexpensive manometer I built to test my 997.1.

I bought one from Amazon (link below) for under $40 and sacrificed an oil filler cap and it works fine.

While your all on the AOS subject. I have 64000 and ZERO issues but for future reference, what are the symptoms of a failing AOS?

There's some common wisdom to change the factory AOS preemptively around 60K miles.
Most failures are without warning.
There can be catastrophic results if enough oil in the combustion chamber causes hydrolock.
Symptoms:
-Sudden increase in:
-----oil consumption
-----mucho oil in the intake path
-----smoke from the exhaust tailpipes; usually a lot of smoke
-Excessive crankcase vacuum (seen at the oil filler tube; normal value for 997.1 is about 4-6 inches of water)
-High-pitched screech/squeal when engine is running

There's an aftermarket AOS that supposedly is more efficient and lasts longer. https://ultimateaos.com/
If going stock, always buy a Porsche branded part. Even then, some AOSs fail right out of the box.

I feel lucky. Zero noises, zero oil consumption. Car has lived a rather easy life though. Maybe I'll change it later this year as a preventive maintenance. Thank you.
