As you know I decieded to keep the car. I did have the engine bore scoped and all clean !!!

Anyway, having the key stuck in ignition again. Battery is only 2 yrs old and had it tested and it is fine. Use a battery tender when not in use. Replaced the ignition key switch and same issue. using Bosch 997 618 161 01 made in Australia. Could there be another relay or something which is causing this????????

The aussie switches are the ones that go faulty. I would replace with the revised unit from Spain - there are others on the forum with multiple ignition switch replacements. You could also pop it open and repair, as someone else did.

rebuild did not work, ordering the 07 Spain model............
