Default Black Forest Industries shift **** fitment problem

Treated the C4s to an Alcantara Black Forest Industries weighted shift ****, when fitting it seems the OEM shift boot is to small to go over the base of the shift ****.

Am I missing something here?

You have to disassemble the OEM boot for it to fit the BFI ****. You can't keep the plastic ring. You can zip tie the boot to the BFI **** from the underside to secure it.
I bought a secondhand boot cover for my BFI **** so that I can easily return to stock if I want.

Ok thanks. Would have been good if they stated that on the website, then I would have purchased a boot at the same time
