I have an eye on a great price 981 steering wheel I’d like for my 997.2 but it has paddles and I have a manual. Can I remove the paddles and use it on a manual? I know there will be a couple small holes where the paddles were, but I’ll deal with that. Need advice quick because this is a great deal that won’t last long.

I found a video where someone did this so question solved. Yes you can do this.

Love the steering wheel on the .2’s I hate the location of the paddles on the wheel… I’m opting for a 991 wheel… obviously this has nothing to do with your quest, but the wheels are a great size

Yes you can do it and there is a cover you can put on the back of the wheel that is Meant for one with no paddles. I think it’s around $40 at sun coast.
