Default 997 6 pot brake upgrade calculations

I had a search running for Turbo calipers with 142mm mounting holes and after 11 months I was alerted so I grabbed them. It’s too bad these weren’t available when I replaced my worn out brake parts six months ago.

After reading posts in Rennlist and 6speedonline, I was so confused with contradicting information. After reading a RL post written by der99649 which calculates his GT3/970 PCCB brake upgrade and chatting with him, I decided to summarize the info in a spreadsheet to get to the bottom of this info.

Some people were concerned about the possibility of a softer pedal feel and a problem with the front to rear bias moving too rearward.

This is what I found.

The 997 6 pots have a few versions with different piston sizes so there has been some confusion. 997.1 Turbo/GT3 has 28/32/38 pistons and 997.2 GT3 and PCCB calipers has 28/30/32 pistons.

The master cylinder in Carrera S, GTS, Turbo, GT3, GT3RS and GT2 are all the same larger 27mm bore 030 version to accommodate the PCCB option.

What has your experience been like going to a 6 pot setup? Let me know if I made any errors in the data or miscalculations.

997.1 Turbo/GT3 front 28/32/38

997.2 GT3 front 28/30/32
997.1/.2 PCCB fronts have the same size pistons

My current setup with 350mm rotors, stock calipers on spacers, Endless CCRG pads, RF 650 fluid and stainless lines. The car brakes very well as is already with these parts.
