Hatzenbach

I hope that anyone knows the answer here:
I am trying to read CAN bus signals from the OBDII connector pins 6 (high) and 14 (low) and do not get any readings at all
bitrate=500kbit, Speed=8MHz

But if I tap directly into the CAN bus wires (by the fuse panel), I get solid readings

any ideas?
