Hi all,

I was removing battery out of my 2012 997.2...

found this piece on a plate where the battery sits.... anyone has any clue on what this could be?
FYI my windshield was replaced before, could it be something from the inside????

any suggestions would help. thanks!

It almost looks like the "nub" that slides into a "receiver" (as part of the battery tray) to hold down the battery (prevent vertical movement).

i suspected it’s from the tray but no, I went online and looked at pictures of tray, this little dude is no where to be found, the tip is actually carpet, rest is rubber and bottom of it has massive glue… 😅😅😅
