Default Changeover Valve delete?

Went to replace the air filter of my '07 Targa 4 (no S/sport/PSE), when I noticed one of the steps to removing the box included unclipping parts I don't have-- I can't find hide nor hair of valves, solenoids or vacuum lines in the engine bay. Part searches for the valves have yielded mostly 3.8 and PSE results, although there are 3.6L valves and brackets on the usual part sites.

Could the PO have deleted the whole system or is it simply not included in the base? No issues with idle or computer alarms. I'll probably go the Tubi route at some point, and just want to make sure this isn't gong to be an issue opening up the sound @~3700rpm.
