997.2 market value
#17
I tend to agree that $75k is a bit steep in the current market. Not knowing all of the details, I'd say mid-high $60k's, maybe $70k is a fair price. What color is it? Full leather or plastic dash? Other than the exhaust and the tune (BTW, not many people think a tune is at all beneficial on these NA cars, myself included) is there anything that stands out? PPF, etc.?
The other determining factor would be the service history, tire condition and tread life, etc. If the service is completely up to date, both based on time and mileage, tires are on the newer side, etc., maybe offer $71k or $72k.
Good luck.

Three Wheelin'
All the $$ evaluations mentioned above are decent depending on options ... Keep in mind the options list to a second or third buyer is the icing on the cake and will justify the 5k or 10k one way or another if the car checks all your boxes and then some . I personally waited a year to find the right car with the options I had to have and ended up getting a few more that I did plan for.

Almost sounded like this dot two though the asking price is $79k and it only has 15.5k mikes. https://mart.pca.org/ads/60193

Condition is the key variable with the car.
If the car was properly cared for over its lifetime (maintenance, repairs, as well as cosmetic protection), it could be worth $65k+.
On the other hand, if there are little or no documented maintenance records, or the maintenance was not kept up; the car needs repairs; has had paintwork / bodywork; has a damage history - it may be worth less than $50k.
If the past maintenance is not documented, then better figure that the work was not done.
Given that the seller is asking beyond top value for the car (especially for a common color combination car) - a very detailed PPI should be done - to validate mechanical condition as well as sound body / paint and other cosmetics.
Good luck with the process.

Not to thread-jack, but I have a 997.1 and I am thinking it's time to overhaul the suspension. How would you do this for $2k? What kind of parts, and would you be doing that yourself? Thanks!

I did the labor myself, so that was a big savings.
