Everything in the product is LED. Full LED.

Morimoto may sound Japanese but I googled it, turns out they are based in Atlanta.

I am puzzled why they would start production with only left-hand-drive headlights.

I shouldn't speculate but I do know as I am also mainly based in Atlanta and provided a test vehicle while they were developing that was LHD … that’s why. Also demand for lighting where we are is LHD. It won’t be long RHD will be done soon. Regulation approval is different per region but it exceeds all regulations.

I am such an ***
I figured left-hand drive would mean cars that drive on the left hand side of the road.
You mean these lights are for right-hand side traffic. AKA steering wheel is on the left side

LHD and RHD or really Left or Right side of the vehicle always represents from the drivers/passengers viewpoint from inside the car while seated.

Please enlighten me.
What is the difference between a LHD headlight and a RHD headlight?
Thank you.

The pattern is taller on the right side of both beams as you can see here for LHD. Mainly noticeable for low beam on left picture here.

These headlights look amazing! Any chance there’s a 996.1 version in the works?

Sorry, not seeing an edit button here…

I may have misunderstood, I thought this was a product your company developed using Morimoto tech but it seems like it’s a Morimoto product your shop sells? Great looking item either way, hopefully more are on the way.

I have an RHD 997.2 with dynamic cornering lights option.

With factory lights, it's possible to switch headlights beam pattern from Left to Right-hand traffic as discussed here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...d-traffic.html
I'm assuming this won't be possible with these Morimoto LED lights.

I also see that headlight beam can be adjusted using this method:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...djustment.html
Can this method be used to turn an LHD beam pattern into an RHD one? Or is this only meant for very small beam height adjustments?

Other than light beam calibration for RHD/LHD traffic, are there any other reasons why LHD lights that are being sold can't be used on RHD cars, such as shape of the light housing, or connector alignment, etc. If it's just a matter of beam calibration and programming to remove dynamic cornering module errors - I might want to try fitting the LHD lights on my RHD car and fiddle with settings and programming.

Thanks!
