Safari? Can a 997.2 C4 or C4S be raised? How?
So after getting my cars stored for a long MN winter I am finally figuring out how nuts this is – to live here and drive a 2004 Landcruiser for 5 months.
Here is my idea...
Buy a 997.2 C4 or C4S and raise it a few inches. Put on snow tires and drive it through the winter. Keep in mind there are winters where we get very little snow.
What would it take to raise one of these a few inches? Think of it as a safari-lite.

I also daily drove a 997.2 for two winters in Chicago.
You don't need the Safari or the boatload of suspension work to drive a 997 through inclement weather. Winter tires helped immensely, i've never gotten stuck.
If you've got $3k to blow, put on some coilovers and put them on the highest setting with winter tires... done.

I saw a 997 in Toronto in late December, so anything is possible, did not look like it had snow tires.
