did anyone mention the T-30 that you need to stop the nut at the end from just turning?

I am interested as I have new rear links on order right now... probably doing the work this week. The shop manual I have just notes to remove and install.... two simple, single sentence instructions... shortest procedure I have in my manual I think. Actually, the manual notes "With the vehicle raised....".

+1 on that. The only thing you need to make sure that there is even load (or better no load) on both sides, that's all
I've adjusted the sway bar links in my adjustable sway bars many times, believe me.

oh yeah and one more thing: make sure you order the right front links. They are different for 2WD and 4WD cars

One more thing.... the left and right are different part numbers... I don't think you can swap them from side to side.

Regarding creaking.... lubricate the clamps that hold down the sway bar to the chassis. If you remove both links at the same time, the bar should swing up and down freely so you can shoot some lube on the interface and work in the lube by swinging the bar up and down.

BTW, I have a set of GearWrench ratcheting box wrenches... got 16mm. Actually I have quite a few 16mm wrenches and such including a 16mm pass-through ratchet set. Maybe I have 'em all and none left for others?

Oh, and good catch on the T30.

Peace

Make sure you install the new ones the same way the old ones came out. I recall reading about someone who put the new ones in facing backward, and had a failure in pretty short order.

Changed out the drop links. Easy job with no hiccups. Based on the results of the job, the drop links were the source of the noise coming from the steering.
