997.1 Bluetooth upgrade help
I have a 997.1 2008 Carrera 4S cabriolet and want to upgrade the Bluetooth so that the original head unit can play music from my iPhone 12. Any suggestions?
Most of the sites I’ve been given offer the upgrade for a 997.2 but I haven’t seen a 997.1 upgrade yet.

Do some searches for "LAPower bluetooth" or "mr12volt" or "rennkit bluetooth." They're all the same thing, I think. I put the rennkit version into my 997.1, and it works great for streaming music from my iPhone 12.

I have the "Mr12Volt" on my 2006 C4S and it connects directly inline with your pcm optical cables. I love the clarity of the bluetooth signal. As clear as playing a cd. It is around $200 bucks, but if you want to keep your oem PCM, then it also shows information on your pcm so that you can see what songs are playing as well as control playlists through the radio *****/buttons. I highly recommend it. There is a huge thread on rennlist if you search Mr12Volt
