Default Passenger side cigarette power outlet trim

See attached pics

Working on swapping a mobridge to a mr12V

looks like the prior owner installed some type of aftermarket trim kit in this spot?

Thanks

That's the factory trim for a cabriolet with the Bose audio--the subwoofer is that carpeted 'bump' that's behind the plastic trim. If you unscrew that torx bolt in the foreground and slide the carpeted enclosure back, you can lift out the subwoofer unit. It also looks like the previous owner tapped into the power going to the 12v outlet to power the Mobridge, which is common (I did the same for my Mr12v).

Thanks!

i pulled the sub enclosure out, found the mobridge behind the glove compartment. Just wondering if I should try to flash upgrade the mobridge versus pulling it out and installing the mr12v. If I do the mr12v, is there an easy way to use the existing wiring that was tapped already?

You should be able to use the power and ground wiring the mobridge was using for the Mr12v, as well as just replace the Mobridge in the MOST loop with the Mr12v.

Thanks!

Just got the mobridge to play Bluetooth music. Wondering if it’s even worth swapping out for mr12v or just leaving it and returning the mr12v for $200.
